When you first receive your fiberglass kit it is not a good idea to lay things on it or to allow it to stand on edge for long periods. There are 7 openings on each side that will allow hot engine air to easily escape.

The quarter panel end caps come with mounting studs but they are not attached. It requires more prep work to make it look as good as a steel part. There can be minor low spots or a textured edge.

It has been drilled and tapped for stock fasteners. In addition some cars have had quarter panels replaced over the years. The louvers in the hood are open and therefore functional.

You do not simply block sand, prime, and then paint fiberglass. Please consider k.
