Pros of buying a kit-a1202 kit for a 1967 GT-500KR convertible or 1968 Shelby GT-500 body Mustang:

1. Unique opportunity to build a custom car: The kit-a1202 provides a rare chance to create a one-of-a-kind vehicle, allowing you to tailor it to your specific preferences.

2. Authentic Shelby heritage: The kit is based on the original 1967 GT-500KR and 1968 GT-500 models, ensuring a strong connection to Shelby's rich racing history.

3. Cost-effective alternative: Compared to buying a fully restored or brand-new Shelby GT-500, building a kit car can be a more affordable option, allowing you to invest in the parts and features that matter the most to you.

4. Customization possibilities: With the kit-a1202, you have the freedom to choose the engine, transmission, suspension, and other components, allowing you to create a car that best suits your driving style and preferences.

Cons of buying a kit-a1202 kit for a 1967 GT-500KR convertible or 1968 Shelby GT-500 body Mustang:

1. Time-consuming and complex build process: Constructing a kit car can be a lengthy and challenging task, requiring a significant amount of time, patience, and technical expertise.

2. Quality concerns: Since the parts are not manufactured by Ford, there may be concerns about the quality and durability of some components.

3. Resale value: A custom-built kit car may not have the same resale value as a fully restored or original Shelby GT-500, as it may not be as desirable to collectors and enthusiasts.

4. Legal and insurance considerations: Building a kit car may require compliance with specific regulations and insurance requirements, which can add to the overall cost and complexity of the project.

Conclusion:

The kit-a1202 for a 1967 GT-500KR convertible or 1968 Shelby GT-500 body Mustang offers an exciting opportunity to create a unique and customized car. However, the build process can be time-consuming and complex, and there may be concerns about the quality of some components. Ultimately, the decision to purchase the kit depends on your level of expertise, budget, and desired outcome. If you are willing to invest the time and effort required, the kit-a1202 can be a cost-effective and rewarding way to own a piece of Shelby's racing legacy.

Recommendation:

If you are interested in building a kit car, I would recommend researching the kit-a1202 thoroughly, considering your budget, technical skills, and desired outcome. It may be helpful to speak with other kit car builders and enthusiasts to gain insights into their experiences and to better understand the challenges and rewards of the project. Additionally, I would advise carefully evaluating the quality of the components and ensuring that you have the necessary tools and resources to complete the build. Ultimately, if you are committed to the project and have a clear vision for your custom car, the kit-a1202 can be a worthwhile investment.

Details:

Either lay it flat or better yet, install it on your car for storage. This hood is not a copy of anything being offered by anyone. This over all front and rear design was done purposely to create more clearance on the underside allowing for the high rise intake manifolds many of you install today.

It requires more prep work to make it look as good as a steel part.. All fiberglass hoods should use either lightweight hood hinge springs or a prop rod.

We did not open the very rear simulated vents as they were not open on the original 1968 Shelby's. The quarter panel end caps come with mounting studs but they are not attached.

Auto Group for any 1967 or 1968 Mustang coupe or convertible.

We must have a city and zip code to create a quote. This is an all new fiberglass body kit being offered by k. The louvers in the hood are open and therefore functional.

Some owners have actually molded the scoops into the body for even cleaner installation. You do not simply block sand, prime, and then paint fiberglass.

The hood mounts exactly like a steel hood and uses stock fasteners. Less to a business than to a residence.

Please bear in mind that all fiberglass requires prep work before painting. It has been drilled and tapped for stock fasteners. It also attaches with all stock fasteners and is reinforced at all mounting locations.

Your installer can choose the location to mount the studs that enables them to perfectly with the trunk lid on your specific car. When you first receive your fiberglass kit it is not a good idea to lay things on it or to allow it to stand on edge for long periods. There can be minor low spots or a textured edge. This also enhances the car's muscle car image.

Fiberglass also has a curing time. We created this hood from scratch to incorporate some design features we felt would be of value to many of you 1967 and 1968 Mustang owners. Although this is an all fiberglass hood it is metal reinforced at all mounting locations.

There are 7 openings on each side that will allow hot engine air to easily escape. Dimensional it will fit if original steel parts fit your car.

This new hood is dimensional the same as your original steel hood. The trunk lid is also hand laid fiberglass. In addition some cars have had quarter panels replaced over the years.

Please consider k.
