Pros of buying a 1968-1972 Chevy El Camino Rh Passenger Outer Quarter Panel (Part Number: 8738084, GM Part Number: 2967):1. Originality: This is a new, original (NOS) part, which means it has never been used before. This can be a significant advantage for collectors and restorers who want to maintain the authenticity of their vehicles.
2. Fit and Quality: Since this is a new part, it should fit perfectly and function as intended. It may also be made from higher-quality materials than a used part, ensuring a longer lifespan.
3. Availability: NOS parts can be harder to find than used parts, especially for older vehicles. Having this part available can save you time and effort in searching for a suitable replacement.
4. Confidence: Knowing that you have a brand-new, genuine part can give you confidence in the reliability and longevity of your vehicle.
Cons of buying a 1968-1972 Chevy El Camino Rh Passenger Outer Quarter Panel (Part Number: 8738084, GM Part Number: 2967):1. Cost: NOS parts are often more expensive than used parts. This can be a significant investment, especially for budget-conscious car owners.
2. Limited Availability: While this part may be available now, it may not always be. If you need to replace this part in the future, you may have to wait or pay a higher price for a used part.
3. Limited Customization: Since this is a new, original part, it may not allow for as much customization as a used part that has already been modified or altered.
Conclusion:If you are a collector or restorer who values originality and reliability, a NOS part like the 1968-1972 Chevy El Camino Rh Passenger Outer Quarter Panel (Part Number: 8738084, GM Part Number: 2967) may be a worthwhile investment. However, if cost is a concern or you are looking for a part that can be easily customized, a used part may be a better option. Ultimately, the decision to buy this part should be based on your specific needs and priorities.
Recommendation:If you are committed to maintaining the authenticity and reliability of your 1968-1972 Chevy El Camino, I would recommend considering the NOS 8738084 quarter panel. However, I would encourage you to weigh the pros and cons and consider your budget and customization needs before making a final decision.
